Well its official!

Sarah looked out the window and spotted the first daffodils of spring growing in a pot - a pot that we thought for dead, discarded last year after the daffodils died, left outside through the winters rain and snow, life has reemerged - SPRING IS HERE!

Busy times in London - exit stage right

A bad day at Farringdon Station

Well it has be an age since I last blogged!

My last entry was just as I was starting at GT way back in November. Since then such a lot has happened - I might get around to back dating so entries.

More or less we've been busy running around... Working, seeing friends, and planning our escape!

Currently we are planning our departure from England, escaping the worst of the crunch hopefully! Our plan is to spend one week in British Columbia Canada, three months in Alaska, some time in Fiji, some time in Papua New Guinea, a month in New Zealand, 6 weeks in diving and a conservation area in Madagascar, 6 weeks on tour through out Africa, then back to London for a short stay, then back to NZ to sort out my visa. All up we're looking at 10-12 months. Can't wait!

We will hopefully be able to keep everyone updated through this blog, so stay tuned!

Winter in London

Sarah's Snow Photos

If there was one word to describe winter this year in London, then I would choose 'snow'!

There has been plenty of it this year. On the day of the biggest fall, most of the countries transport fell to its knees! The buses were pulled from the roads and only the tube that was underground was running - the problem was getting to and from the station itself!

Not many people that day made it into work. Sarah and I however, Sarah guilt ridden about having a day off work, and me paid by the day - we both made it in.

For me it was pretty much a normal day at work, except for lunch at the pub in the landlords private room! Very secret, very nice! It was however byo service as they, like everyone else were under staffed.

England are not used to snow and some of the things I saw were scary, so many stupid people driving up icy slopes going nowhere fast! Or driving with so much snow on the car that the driver could barely see the road!
