summers gone already.

Well we had we week of summer but it seems to be a week of rain now.

football

Hey im a footballer! In a competition! I really enjoy playing as well. I think that i like playing goal keeper. Im not so good at ball handling - im really bad at receiving and continuing the ball so striking is out. But i can run about applying pressure and steal the ball and pass it off. Apparently they call that a "holder". Anyway its fun.

We are playing in a guardian wide competition some time in early may.

What is Wii Fit you might ask?

another morning

Another morning that im out of the house at 630 off to the gym. Second time this week, plus football yesterday and our last ballroom dancing lesson tonight. My contract is up next month but will try for a 1 month extension to see of through till when my family visit from nz

Football

I played football today at lunch time with the lads from work. Last week there was hail and rain and thunder and lightning - it happened again this week! Still great fun too. Im amazed that im fit enough to run around for 40 minutes and still enjoy it. Im still a bit crap but practise makes perfect! We have our first guardian competition game on monday - i hope we win!

Londoners Wake Up to 'Unpleasant' Smell as Wind Pattern

Londoners woke up today to an unpleasant smell that the U.K. Met Office said emanated from
continental Europe and spread across southern England.

The odor, which residents described as smelling of manure or rotting garbage, can probably be explained by a shift in the winds from the prevailing west to a more easterly origin, Sarah Holland, a spokeswoman for the Met Office, the government forecaster, said in a telephone interview.

"We've had reports from East Anglia to Reading and Devon of a smell in the air,'' Holland said, adding that "strong" winds are blowing in from the east. "We don't know the exact origins of the air, but it could be from agricultural and industrial processes in continental Europe."

london smells worse than usual today?

Stepping outside of the house this morning there was a distinct odor in the air. I thought that it must have been the road works. I also smelt it outside the gym and thought it was me! As it turns out everyone smelt something bad this morning from all around london. I wonder what it is. Its not a good first impression for Abby who arrived from nz yesterday!

Off to spain!

Yay! I just booked tickets to Madrid in june to see my brother from New Zealand. Hes there for a week at a conference and we'll have the weekend to hopefully catch a football game!
