Well, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!
Christmas Morning:
I really enjoyed Christmas. Sarah and I had a stack of presents each
next to the fire place. I had to teach her the art of managing the
urges to rip them open before Christmas day - this only being her 2nd
Christmas ever!! Yes, strange as it is - whos clever enough to figure
that one out? (And no, im not dating a two year old!)
I got heaps of letters, photos, albums, dvds, etc from home which I
loved, this being my 2nd Christmas away from home ever! My sisters put together a book with photos of everyone and stories about the year and what has been happening - just what I love when I'm missing my family.
I got Sarah a LCD photo frame so we can see the thousands of digital
photos that we have accumulated. I also got her a set of speakers as
the photo frame can play MP3s as well! She absolutely loved it. She
also got some hand painted glasses from Belgium.
Sarah's present was awesome: A Remote Control Helicopter! - I think I have found a hobby that will last me a while!
It can fly indoors and outdoors but is a lot harder to fly than it
looks! I have been trying to fly it for about 4 days now and I can
barely get it to hover! Its take so many hits from furniture!
Heres a video on youtube of some dude flying the same model:

Christmas Afternoon/Evening:
The rest of the day was spent with my nephew Shaun, his girlfriend Amy
and another 15 odd kiwis at Paddie's house. Sarah and I had a great
time, it was just sitting round eating, drinking, and play games like
poker and a silly game that gave an electric shock if you were too
slow! - i didnt like that game. They were very hospitable and did a
great job with the food! Very impressed! We left after 12 hours of
indulgence.
It was really nice to be around some family again.
